It’s not everyday that we get to photography someone who is literally at the forefront of a new frontier, and we’re thrilled to have James Hedalen in our Vancouver studio for a professional headshot session.
James is leading charge on a massive and historic project. His company, Kobrea Exploration Corp., is a copper exploration firm that has achieved truly something significant: they are the first public company permitted to drill in Argentina’s newly opened Mendoza province. This region is a part of a world-class copper belt, but has remained largely unexplored until now… James and his team are the first movers in, set to explore a vast area that holds immense potential for copper discovery.

When you’re the CEO of a public company and breaking new ground in the international stage, your professional image is incredibly important. You are the face of the company for investors, partners, and the public, and that image needs to convey confidence, credibility, and foresight. Our goal for James’s session was to capture these qualities.
In the professional headshot we took for him, James is featured in a classic, professional pose, looking directly into the camera with a calm and confident expression. The lighting is soft and even, highlighting his features without harsh shadows, and a neutral grey background to make sure all the focus is on him. His hands are clasped gently in front, adding to the composed and approachable feel of the portrait.
